About Lampwork Beads
Lampwork beads are tiny little pieces of art that can be designed into jewelry. Each completed bead is a work of art that requires skill, painstaking attention to detail and a considerable amount of time to create.
A glass artist uses a torch to melt rods of colorful art glass to form the bead while creating intricate designs. To ensure strength and durability, the beads are annealed in a temperature-controlled kiln. When properly annealed, these glass beads are extremely strong.
In my jewelry, I use only quality kiln annealed lampwork from a variety of skilled artists. First I hand pick the beads that will go into the pieces that I design. Each is carefully considered when looking at the color combinations that can result when paired with the variety of Swarovski crystals that I use. I strive for balance, texture and eye appeal with each different design.
Lampwork beads and jewelry designs will always be a one-of-a-kind piece that can never be exactly duplicated. So enjoy wearing your new favorite pieces of art.
