Swarovski Crystals

Your bracelet includes Swarovski crystals from Austria. Like any good crystal, it can scratch if mishandled. Every once in awhile, take a soft cotton cloth and gently buff your crystals to bring back their natural luster.

Bali Sterling Silver Beads

These handmade Sterling silver beads come from Bali, Indonesia. Because they are handmade, like a snowflake, each bead is slightly different from the next.
Being that they are made of sterling silver, they do have the potential of tarnishing. You can help lessen this by wearing your bracelet often. The action of rubbing against your body and clothes helps keep the tarnish away.
Do not use tarnish-removing dips on your Bali silver pieces or letter beads. The dips will remove the black decorative look you want to keep on these pieces.
You can use a tarnish-removing cloth on the sterling-silver seamless round beads. Be careful not to get any of the product from this cloth onto your crystals. You can use a mild soapy water solution on your bracelet if necessary.
Do Not wear your bracelet while: cleaning with chemicals or anything abrasive, swimming, bathing/showering, doing dishes or at anytime when you'll have your hands in water for an extended length of time.

Jewelry Care
Tarnish build up is natural and dulling occurs when silver reacts with hydrogen sulfide or sulfer in the air. Be nice to your treasured beads. They are not fond of salt water, chlorine in swimming pools and harsh cleaning chemicals. If your silver beads show signs of tarnish, use a polishing cloth made for silver jewelry. It has a dry chemical inside of the cloth to remove tarnish that gets on the jewelry. Follow the directions on the cloth (these can be found at most jewelry stores for around $4.00). Do not use a "Dip-It" type of jewelry cleaner on your bracelets that contain silver Bali beads or letter beads. These particular beads have black oxidation marks on them to show antiquing or depth. This would remove the black oxidation and the characteristics of these particular beads.

Return to Previous Screen Clasps and Toggles
Single and double strand bracelets have an option of several different clasps, as shown in the picture to the right. Some multi-strand bracelets are made with a special clasp and do not have alternate choices at this time.

Return to Previous ScreenSizing
There are a variety of ways to figure out what size bracelet to order.

  1. If you have a favorite bracelet, lay it out against a ruler and note the length including the inside parts of the closure.
  2. Wrap a piece of yarn, ribbon or string around your wrist as you would comfortably like to wear your bracelet. Measure this against a ruler and note the length.
  3. Measure your wrist tightly (as you would wear a watch) and add 1-1.25 inches.
  4. Most wrist measurements for women fall within 6 ¾ inches - 9 inches, with 7 ½ inches being the most common size.
Your bracelet will be within 1/8 inch depending on the size of the beads used and the layout design.

Resizing
There is a small charge of $10 per strand or restringing bracelets. So, please remember to measure carefully.

Adding an additional strand
Should you need to add an additional strand to a name bracelet you already own, please contact us about this. If you have access to a digital camera, sending a picture of your bracelet would help us help you get the second strand that you desire. We do not charge full price to add a strand if you purchased the original bracelet from A Treasured Bead. You can mail your bracelet to the address listed above. We strongly recommend that you opt for insurance sending jewelry to us. The cost is normally $1.30 - $3.20 each way in addition to the postage. We are not responsible for lost or damaged parcels.
